  11. I have an AST Advantage! Adveture 6066d 486/66 with an AST internal 14.4
  12. modem The maodem says "AST 202640 Rev A" on the card.  I wish to find an
  13. init string to allow dialing out without the dial tone and the sound of
  14. the modem from coming through my speakers and telling the whole house 
  15. "I'm on the net again"!  I am able to turn the volume down by software for
  16. the soundblaster but this is a pain to run another program to turn it down
  17. and then to remember to turn it back up. My efforts to call AST to find the
  18. make and model of the modem supplied have ended in 'on hold' calls of up to
  19. 3 hours.  I give up on AST.  HELP
